Locust Grove

The Locust Grove Neighborhood is located at the northeast corner of the city of Charlottesville. The community features many single-family homes built in the mid 20th Century, but also features newer construction at St. Charles Place, completed in 2008. The community hosts a number of recreational areas, with Pen Park, Meadowcreek Golf, and Northeast Park nestled in the neighborhood, and McIntire Park nearby. With its central location, Locust Grove is perfect for those who want to be close to the Downtown area and University Grounds.

Pen Park

Pen Park is one of Charlottesville’s best recreational areas. The park features tennis courts, a baseball diamond, beach volleyball, winding nature trails, and picnic shelters. Pen Park is a favorite neighborhood destination.

Meadowcreek Golf Course

Meadowcreek Golf Course is a public course that brings affordable golfing into the Locust Grove Neighborhood. The course is adorned with flowering dogwood and cherry trees as well as lofty oaks.

Northeast Park

Located at the heart of the neighborhood, Northeast park is a favorite community meeting point. The park features a full-sized basketball court, picnic tables, and a playground area. A pedestrian bridge connects Northeast park to the Locust Grove neighborhood.
